Fuck America

He was arrested for public benefits (food stamp) fraud and burglary, but, somehow, it's America's fault. How entitled do you have to feel in order to come to that conclusion?

The family just likes giving people the finger. Ahmed Alshami, the man who was arrested, posted a Facebook rant last year where he accused others of trying to shut down his store. He included a photo of himself giving the finger along with his rant.

His 'they're all drug users' rant must come under "it takes one to know one" because Alshami was also arrested in 2015 for criminal possession of a controlled substance (crack cocaine).

Weird How They Think That

A woman in France was screamed at by two men and hit by at least one of them for serving alcohol during Ramadan.
The incident has been seized upon by the far-right as proof of the spread of radical Islam despite attempts to impose secular principles that underpin the French state.

Sexual Assaults in Germany

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about how Germany had created a website to teach immigrants not to rape or sexually assault people. It doesn't seem to have worked.
Three Pakistani men are already under arrest after 18 women filed complaints that they had been improperly touched, fondled and groped during the festival in the city of Darmstadt. Police have said the number of complainants could rise.

Illegal Aliens Sue Former Landlord

Four Latino families being evicted from a mobile-home park because at least one family member is undocumented and doesn’t have a Social Security number filed a federal civil rights lawsuit Monday that advocates said could set a national precedent in fair-housing law.
They are claiming that requirement for all tenants to have a Social Security card, visa and related documents or a passport is discriminatory because it disproportionately affects Latinos. I'm not a lawyer, but doesn't it affect them disproportionately because they have disproportionately chosen to be there illegally?

The article also says that households with "undocumented residents" were put on a month-to-month lease instead of an annual one and were required to pay a $300 per month fee on top of the monthly rent. If the rental terms changed for some of the tenants and they weren't evicted, it makes me think that there may be more to the eviction story than they're telling. Granted, an extra $300 a month in rental payments would make me want to move, but why were some given a choice of paying while others were evicted?

Rape, You're Not Doing It Right

Germany thinks that if only asylum-seekers knew how to have sex properly, they wouldn't rape.
Zanzu: My body in words and images is a multi-language sex education site.

Rape used to be about sex, then we were told it wasn't about sex, it was about power. Now it's about sex again.

That should fix the problem.

Castro Campaigning to Become Hillary's VP?

Housing Secretary Julián Castro, a surrogate for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, took aim at Bernie Sanders’ record on immigration during the senator’s former elected capacity as an Independent member of the U.S. House from 1991 to 2007.
Sanders "voted with Republicans to protect the Minutemen, a hate group that used military tactics against our community," Castro, a former San Antonio mayor, said in a statement rolled out by the Clinton camp March 8, 2016, the day that Sen. Sanders of Vermont won an upset victory in the party’s Michigan presidential primary.
Clinton leveled a similar claim about Sanders and the Minutemen at a Democratic debate in Miami the next day; PolitiFact found her statement Mostly True. Unlike Castro, she did not call the Minuteman Project a hate group.

Orange County Democrats Call for Anti-Trump Protest

From the Democratic Party of Orange County Facebook page:

I wonder when the "update" was added. People were blocking the intersection and then became violent with people leaving the rally.

And punch a man and take his hat.

And smash up a police car.
