Fuck America
He was arrested for public benefits (food stamp) fraud and burglary, but, somehow, it's America's fault. How entitled do you have to feel in order to come to that conclusion?
The family just likes giving people the finger. Ahmed Alshami, the man who was arrested, posted a Facebook rant last year where he accused others of trying to shut down his store. He included a photo of himself giving the finger along with his rant.
His 'they're all drug users' rant must come under "it takes one to know one" because Alshami was also arrested in 2015 for criminal possession of a controlled substance (crack cocaine).

NY Post: Snakes On a Plane
NY Observer:Being a former POTUS means no one can say, "No"?
He just started walking over and [even her security] can’t tell him, ‘you can’t do that.’ He walked in her plane for at least 20 to 25 minutes and the FBI is standing face to face with the Secret Service and just chatting on the hot tarmac like, ‘what the hell.’ ”
I feel sorry for the Secret Service people who were left out on the tarmac in heat that was around 110 degrees. You know it would be even hotter for them, standing around in black suits, on concrete that would radiate more heat. But who cares about them? Or if there were other planes that couldn't land because Bill had to chat with Lynch.

Telemundo Staging Shots at Protest
And today we learn that if you're under 18 you can hit someone's camera and spit at them and some twit will defend it because you're "obviously a minor". Clearly too immature to be at a protest unsupervised.
Let @Telemundo know that their job is to report the news, not manipulate it. They're owned by @NBC, if you want to include them on the tweet too.

Kris Jenner Business School
“The future is waiting. What’s your legacy?” she asks.
Does that even make sense? A legacy is something from the past. Or it's something you leave behind after you die, and do you really want potential
Maybe that's how she finds who's a good candidate. If her sentence and question make sense to you, you're more likely to spend over $100,000 on her shady business school.
[T]he first 100 students accepted and enrolled will get a chance to sit down for an “exclusive dinner” with the school’s public face and chairman of the board: Kris Jenner, the matriarch of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. So that might be another clue on who is gullible enough to pay out for this.

Icon of Tolerance and Jew Hater
A young Muslim woman who took selfies in front of the Belgian right-wing and anti-Islam party Vlaams Belang was declared to be an icon of tolerance, fighting against Islamophobia.
Teen Vogue called her a total badass.
More than just being a badass, Zakia makes a remarkable point — racism is often just ignorance. Once these protestors experienced and got to know her vibrant spirit they immediately warmed up to her. We bet some of them even felt silly. So cute, so sweet, so filled with love...

They Were Chanting, "Peace, Love"
In 1968 before the Democratic Convention riots.
The eventual nominee, Hubert Humphrey, hadn't won any primaries. One of the most popular candidates had been Robert Kennedy, but he was assassinated by Sirhan Sirhan in Los Angeles right after Kennedy had won the California primary.
I don't wish for that kind of thing to happen to any candidate, regardless of how I feel about their politics, but I can see a front runner dropping out for other reasons - an FBI investigation resulting in an indictment, for example.
Even without that kind of drama, the Democratic Party is looking at a widening division. We've already seen how Sanders supporters have shut down Trump's rally in Chicago earlier this year.
And shut down the road to the rally location in Arizona.
And blocked Trump's motorcade in California.
Which Trump got around by getting out and walking, like a boss.
What do you think they're going to do if Hillary Clinton gets the nomination? Even in the somewhat-less-likely event that Sanders gets the nomination, do you think all of these people will just say, "our job is done" and go home to wait for the election? Nope. It's going to be more of this until November and it's going to turn "Never Trump" people who are watching the chaos into Trump voters.

Orange County Democrats Call for Anti-Trump Protest
From the Democratic Party of Orange County Facebook page:
And punch a man and take his hat.
And smash up a police car.
I wonder when the "update" was added. People were blocking the intersection and then became violent with people leaving the rally.
And punch a man and take his hat.
And smash up a police car.

About Colorado
Some Trump supporters are crying foul after Ted Cruz walked away with all of Colorado's delegates. Sorry, friends, he followed Colorado's rules and did it perfectly fairly (as far as I know at this point.)
If you don't like how the Colorado Republicans run their party, follow the lead of Bruce Springsteen and Bryan Adams and boycott the state. (Springsteen cancelled a concert in North Carolina and Adams cancelled on in Mississippi.) Don't book trips to Colorado. Don't buy things online from Colorado stores. Don't do business with Colorado-based businesses.
Here's a list of some Colorado-based restaurants and other businesses that may have products available in local stores or may even have an outlet near you:
Granted, a lot of these companies are probably run by Democrats who neither know nor care what the state's Republican party is doing, but do you think that Springsteen asked ticket buyers if they supported the law or not before he decided not to show?
Don't go. Don't buy. Be sure to mention every non-purchase on Twitter or Facebook. If you're actually going so far as to cancel travel plans to Colorado, be sure to tweet the news to the CO GOP and let them know they're the reason.
It's not about what's fair, it's about who's the loudest.
This does make it look a bit fishy.

Who Is Lying, Michelle or Corey?
I can believe that Michelle Fields thought she was being pulled down
by Corey Lewandowski. Maybe she never played any contact sports or games
like King of the Hill when she was a child. And she's way too young to
have attended a concert at Riverfront pre-1980. Her attention was on
Trump and being pulled startled her and it felt worse than it looked. For her it was a rare event that happened to her.
I can also believe that Lewandowski doesn't think he did anything. He mostly only saw her from behind, his attention was more on Trump than her, and he was just moving away a random person who had gotten to close and refused to move when told to back off. It happened quickly, and for him, it could be something he has to do a lot - push or pull people away from Trump so they can get through the crowd. (I'm not saying he's always yanking people out of the way. If he grabs someone who is paying attention to him, it would be easier to pull and gently maneuver that person out of the way than it someone whose attention was elsewhere.) For him it was a common event (people crowding Trump).
Their perceptions of what happened are different, but for similar reasons:

This is where Fields in continuing to touch Trump after having been told to back off, before Lewandowski grabs her.
Their perceptions of what happened are different, but for similar reasons:
- their attention was on Trump
- how rare/common the event was
- who was the principal in the event - for Michelle, it became about her. For Corey, it started out being about Trump and stayed about Trump.
So, I think they can be both be telling the story the
way they believe it happened. I also think that if she were a man, we
never would have heard of any problem.

Stopping (Temporarily) Isn't Stumping
Chicago rally postponed.
Protesters, meanwhile, shouted “We shut s*** down” and “We stumped Trump.” Others chanted “Bernie” as supporters whipped out Bernie Sanders campaign signs.Organizations got together to stop the rally (see the video at the :37 mark).

You Go First
A teen is in jail after shooting another teen in the head.
The shooting happened Monday, Feb. 1...when a group of teens were hanging out in front of an apartment talking about playing Russian Roulette with a semi-automatic handgun. There are no empty chambers with a semi-automatic the way you could have with a revolver. If the gun is loaded, it will shoot when you pull the trigger.

How To Avoid Being Deported
Don't make threats against presidential candidates. An Egyptian student living in the US is being deported after posting on Facebook, “I am willing to kill Donald Trump and serve a life sentence. The whole world would thank me for doing that."
In fact, don't make threats against anyone. When you have been given a visa to live in another country, you are a guest of that country and should behave the same way you would if you were a guest in someone's home. You treat your hosts (and their family and friends) with respect. You follow their way of doing things, even if it's different from the way you prefer. I know there are Americans who act like assholes when they're abroad - they need to learn manners too.
According to another source, he had been studying at a flight school, the Universal Air Academy. They say his deportation is because the US is paranoid about terrorism.

Why the Girls Like Bernie
Feminist Gloria Steinem says young women support Bernie because they want attention from boys.
Steinem was a feminist leader in the 1960s and '70s. She tarnished feminism for a lot of women in the '90s by supporting Bill Clinton over the women accusing him of sexual assault and rape. (And before that time, a personal relationship in the workplace between a powerful man and a woman with relatively little power would have been seen as abusive. That kind of power imbalance was seen as exploitative, even when the woman was in the relationship by choice.)
Apparently sacrificing her feminist ideals once for the Clintons wasn't enough. Now she's saying that young women are choosing Bernie just to find a boy. If she had just been trying to make a point about how some people say that men support feminism just to get laid, then I could see saying this.
She also talks about her book, My Life on the Road, and how the road used to be for men while women remained at home. She says that "the road" was considered dangerous but, statistically, the home is more dangerous. Well, duh. More accidents happen at home because people, even those that travel, are at home some of the time.
Maher asks if Feminism is something that goes beyond our borders. The answer is that it was great when Hillary (as First Lady) went to China and said that women's rights are human rights but it's not our business when women in Muslim countries suffer. The women in those countries need to take care of it themselves.
She does say that Islam being attached to the government is the problem, theocracies are the problem...but then she says that Christian theocracies are a problem. Is the Vatican acting up again?

Raised by Narcisists
As if having terminal cancer wasn't enough, this boy's parents stole computers from the cancer ward where he was being treated. At first they blamed him for the thefts!
The computers had been donated by a charity (Candlelighters) and were attached to the hospital beds. The father cut them off the chains that were holding them and then the parents sold the computers over Facebook. The mother even bragged that they could get "as many as you want".
I guess the world is lucky that these conscienceless creeps are stupid. Imagine the trouble they could have caused if they were halfway intelligent.
