Basket of Deplorables

To just be grossly generalistic, you can put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the 'basket of deplorables'. Unfortunately there are people like that, and he has lifted them up.

Hillary Clinton said this at a LGBT fundraiser in NYC where tickets were reported to start at $1,200 and go up to $250,000. The event was announced by an email saying "We will come together on Friday evening September 9 in New York to celebrate equality, build support for our campaign for a stronger America and aim our focus squarely on continued progress by sending Hillary to the White House."

We want to celebrate equality...except for those deplorables.

Is Telford the New Rotherham?

Horrific reports of widescale grooming and abuse in town dubbed Britain's 'child sex capital'.

[R]eports of grooming in Telford were inputted into police computers wrongly and played down despite an earlier probe that led to seven men being jailed in 2012.

The people arrested in 2012 were seven men of Pakistani descent:

• Mubarek Ali
• Mohammed Ali Sultan
• Tanveer Ahmed
• Mohammed Islam Choudhrey
• Mahroof Khan
• Mohammed Younis

According to Wikipedia:

There were accounts concerning men who would ejaculate and then urinate in children's mouths, violating them in every orifice, as well as gang-rape by queues of men while girls were held hostage for hours, sometimes days – all the while being forced to listen to the screams of girls in other rooms with other men.

Diversity Will Plummet!

“If this court rules that the University of Texas can’t consider race, we know exactly what will happen: diversity will plummet, especially among African Americans,” Garre [lawyer for the University of Texas] said. “Now is not the time and this is not the case to roll back student-body diversity in America.”

 I can't tell if he thinks poorly of African-Americans or of the university he represents.

Weird How They Think That

A woman in France was screamed at by two men and hit by at least one of them for serving alcohol during Ramadan.

The incident has been seized upon by the far-right as proof of the spread of radical Islam despite attempts to impose secular principles that underpin the French state.

Icon of Tolerance and Jew Hater

A young Muslim woman who took selfies in front of the Belgian right-wing and anti-Islam party Vlaams Belang was declared to be an icon of tolerance, fighting against Islamophobia.

Teen Vogue called her a total badass.

More than just being a badass, Zakia makes a remarkable point — racism is often just ignorance. Once these protestors experienced and got to know her vibrant spirit they immediately warmed up to her. We bet some of them even felt silly.

So cute, so sweet, so filled with love...

Well, maybe not for everyone.

Rape used to be about sex, then we were told it wasn't about sex, it was about power. Now it's about sex again.

That should fix the problem.

Trump, Racism, and Antisemitism in Palm Beach Florida

In the 1990s, private clubs in Palm Beach still excluded Blacks and Jews from becoming members...until Donald Trump opened Mar-a-Lago. He refused to discriminate against them, angering the old crusties in town.

He fought back and the restrictions were lifted. The inclusive club and golf course were opened.

Boxers or Bikinis?

The winner of a transgender beauty pageant was stripped of her title for not being transgender enough. It seems there's footage in a new documentary that shows her wearing boxer shorts.

"When Jai entered the competition, she said she was full time and she is not - she is a drag queen. The documentary showed her living as a gay male in her boxer shorts.
Underwear is very important to transgender females - one of the first thing people do is change their underwear as it makes us feel like we are finally a woman."

So, it's not whether you have an X or a Y chromosome. It's not whether you mentally and emotionally feel like a man or a woman. It's your underwear that decides your gender. I don't know what that means for those of you who go commando.

Arbitrary Culture Rules

All new students at the University of Missouri have to go through diversity training.

Martinez, who is currently researching “gender, migration, and citizenship on the reproductive health beliefs and practices of Midwestern Latinas,” also warned that any non-Mexican person who uses makeup associated with the Mexican custom of Día de Muertos is engaging in cultural appropriation. 

However, Martinez also carefully instructed, students who make model alters resembling Día De Los Muertos altars for one of her class assignments are engaged in “cultural sharing.” That’s totally fine, she explained.

 Martinez also complained about photos of people wearing taco costumes. (No word if these were students or just photos she found online and felt the need to bitch about.) She said they weren't even Mexican tacos because the costumes had lettuce...so I guess appropriating the crispy shelled, meat, cheese, and lettuce California Taco Bell taco is taking this guy's culture.

'Hundreds' of Rapes 'Hidden' by Danish Police

It sounds like the problem is that some were rape and not rape-rape, as Whoopi Goldberg so aptly put it befoe.

  Denmark recorded an average of 395 rape cases every year up to 2014. But an investigation by the Ministry of Justice has revealed the actual number to be closer to 1,100 annually, Metroxpress reported on Thursday.

The majority of the ‘missing’ reports were hidden in police statistics by giving them investigation numbers that did not classify them as rape cases. A number of police departments confirmed to Metroxpress that this was standard practice in cases where there was doubt as to whether a rape had actually occurred.

Can't they all just be grouped under sexual assault/by degree?
