Facebook Trending Topics

A reply from Tom Stocky saying FB doesn't manipulate the trending topics.

I've looked at the "trending topics" suggestions more often since this story broke than I had in all the previous years of using Facebook. This is what I see now:

All this does is confirm that I was right in ignoring it so far. While Google suggestions for me are almost creepy in their accuracy, FB suggestions are so far off from my interests, it's a bit reassuring in how little they know about me.
